Life is good. Fernando makes it better. A snuggle, a cuddle, patience, grace, and lots of tippity tappity nails on the floors. Fernando provides infinite wisdom and a soft pillow to rest on. He thinks he is a unicorn or a princess or a knight in shining armor. He has a great imagination.

About Fernando
FERNANDO will be 11 in August. He is a Silken Windhound, a retired show dog, a Certified Therapy Dog, Advanced. He was named Palm Beach Illustrated Cutest Pet of the Year in 2021. (They have not had an election since; so his reign continues today.) He was voted most likely to succeed, and has a VERY opinion of himself.
We hover around 15,000 followers on our @thats_Fernando Instagram and enjoy sharing upbeat humor, wacky adventures, corny dad jokes and positive energy worldwide. It’s a great day when someone spits out their coffee in response to a post. It’s what we LIVE FOR! Laugh out loud silly is good for the soul. Good for the heart. Good for everybody.

Why I Paint
I started painting again in early 2022. Work was challenging and painting was my refuge. Fernando was my first model and I have honed my art.....I create positive images evoking a warm and happy state of mind. I use bright colors and focus predominantly on animals. We have painted custom pieces for friends and family world-wide. For me, it is all about the good energy and dog/people connection. Fernando is the force.
My style is my own version of Pop. I grew up at museums in NYC and am inspired by well-loved, modern art and social culture masters including Peter Max, Keith Haring, Jackson Pollock, Romeo Britto, and Charles M. Schulz. I was fortunate to work in character licensing back when it was just starting out. (Think Peanuts, Garfield, MARVEL, and Cabbage Patch Dolls.) When I was working with Snoopy and Robotman, I never dreamed I would be an artist, author, and be sharing good karma, positive energy. Whooo hooo.
I recently published a hard cover Art Book featuring a number of my paintings and the associated "back stories." The book is a pathway to happiness and calm. Each piece is uplifting, silly, thoughtful, and evocative. I have been an animal parent for most of my life and have a strong connection with Fernando. Through Fernando, I can use my creative, artistic, and literary skills to positively impact lives and improve well-being internationally. Fernando is certain that his purpose is to heal mankind. Through my actions and art, together Fernando and I try to share good karma, positive energy and a whole lot of SPARKLE.
